Ideal Hoof – Cod liver oil-based hoof grease

Ideal Hoof IT is a hoof grease based on cod liver oil. If used regularly, it helps to strengthen the hoof thanks to its vitamin content, which contributes to nail regrowth. Ideal Hoof does not attract insects and protects the hoof from external agents by allowing it to breathe. Ideal Hoof can also be applied in all seasons because it does not change its consistency (freezing or melting).

Function:

The hoof is the part of the locomotor apparatus most exposed to trauma due to direct impact with the ground. For this reason, it must maintain the right elasticity to adapt to work, which is only possible by keeping a certain percentage of water inside. The oil or grease applied to the hoof acts as a barrier, isolating the outside from the optimal physiological condition of moisture inside. The equine hoof has a self-regulating moisture system, if all the health constants of the environment and the hoof itself are maintained. The rule is, however, to keep the structure inside hydrated and this depends very much on the season and the external environment. In summer, when the ambient temperature is high, the foot is not able to retain its internal moisture as well as in winter, so the correct moisture inside the hoof must first be ensured.

Instructions for a proper use:

Apply Ideal Hoof with a brush on the whole dry or wet hoof, in the crown and under the secton after cleaning the area. Close the can carefully after use.
